Barcelona blew apart Sevilla 4:0 in La Liga action yesterday, while Valencia easily brushed aside Real Betis 2:1. The Catalans are now back 6 points clear of immediate followers Real Madrid in the standings, while Valencia have closed the gap with Sevilla

Valencia crushed Sevilla’s resistance with a 3:1 win in La Liga action on Sunday, reviving their hopes for a third place at the finish line: the gap with Sevilla has now shrunk to 5 points.

The last match in the Spanish championship was successful for Raul (pictured left) and David Villa – both strikers scored to improve their ratings, and their teams recorded important wins.

Valencia’s midfielder David Silva (pictured -- left) had an excellent evening in Kiev, scoring for his side and increasing his FTBL rating in the process.

David Villa had no time to celebrate his FTBl leadership position in the Spanish league before he lost it after Valencia’s defeat to Asasuna 0-1 in La Liga.
