In the Italian Serie A, there is a good chance of Zlatan Ibrahimovic losing his top spot in the rating to AC Milan forward Filippo ‘Pippo’ Inzaghi (pictured right) in the coming weekend. The gap between the two amounts to a little over 10 rating points, with Inzaghi standing a better chance than his rival of earning a bonus.
In the coming match against Catania, Inzaghi will have to earn just 4.20 rating points to move up, and judging by the 36-year-old's current form, this appears, indeed, realistic. Inzaghi has been impressive in recent matches, scoring 4 goals in two encounters. In addition, Milan now have a realistic chance of ending the championship in second place in the standings, and they will no doubt fight tooth and nail to make sure they keep it.
Ibrahimovic on the other hand will have his hands full with a plank of 13.00 rating points to beat in Inter Milan’s game against Lazio.
Third in the rating of forwards is Alberto Gilardino with 146.82 points. He also stands a good chance of taking the lead in our FTBL Top 23 of the Serie A provided he can produce a good performance in Fiorentina’s coming game against Torino.
