CSKA Moscow and Zenith St. Petersburg will clash in the 9th round of the Russian League, with an exciting fight in the background for the leadership in our FTBL rating for the league between current leader Milos Krasic and rivals Pavel Pogrebnyak, Konstantin Zyryanov, and Brazilian striker Vagner Love.
Krasic will have a plank of 15.45 rating points to beat in the encounter. He set the plank when Serbia beat Romania 3:2. He did not score in that game, but if he wants to avoid losing rating points this time around, he will have to score.
Krasic’s rivals have slightly easier tasks: Pogrebnyak will have a plank of just 3.60 rating points, as well as Zyryanov. Pogrebnyak currently has 82.95 points over all, and Zyryanov 86.60.
Zenith’s players will see their efforts reduced to naught if CSKA win and Brazilian striker Vagner Love takes active part in it. Love will need just a single point in the game to move to the top spot in our rating.
