Juventus goalkeeper and reigning World champion Gianluigi Buffon is in a long crossing of the desert: he has been out of the FTBL Top 23 for the Italian Serie A for more than a month with a tally of just 62.91 points and has conceded a goal in each one of his last nine appearances!
Despite remaining one of the best Italian goalkeepers at the moment, Buffon has begun feeling pressure form his nearest rivals, such as Palermo’s Marco Amelia.
The trio of best Italian goalkeepers is rounded up by Tottenham’s Carlo Cudicini with 59.20 points over all. It is worth noting that there is no Italian in the FTBL ranking of best goalkeepers in the Serie A. Buffon was the last Italian goalkeeper to exit the ranking.
