As German Bundesliga side Hamburg stampeded all over Hapoel Tel-Aviv 4:2 in the Europa League last Thursday, Croatian international Mladen Petric (pictured) earned enough rating points in our system to return in the top tier of the FTBL ranking of Bundesliga forwards.

The reward for the Croatian amounted to 12.77 rating points, pushing his overall FTBL rating to 133.15 points. He is now in 5th place in the FTBL ranking of forwards in the Bundesliga.

In his ascent Petric has edged out fellow Croatian and Bayern Munich forward Ivica Olic (117.16 points) from the top of the ranking. The former CSKA Moscow striker failed to impress as the Bavarians were held to a goalless draw by third from the bottom FC Köln in Bundesliga action yesterday. He dropped 17.7 rating points.

Petric has also overtaken Olic in the FTBL ranking of Croatian strikers to claim the 1st spot, while Olic has retreated to 2nd place.
