Rubin Kazan’s Turkish midfielder Karadeniz Gokdeniz (pictured), the man who netted the winner for the Russians in the Champions League group stage game against Barcelona at the Nou camp yesterday, earned a whopping 25 rating points in the FTBL system to break, for the first time, into the top tier of our ranking of Turkish playmakers.
Karadeniz went into the game primed for a rise: he was guaranteed the 3 rating points he dropped in Rubin’s 1:3 loss to Dynamo Kyiv in their first group stage game. With a tally of 61.06 points, he is now in 2nd place in the ranking of Turkish midfielders, behind Galatasaray’s Turan Arda, who has 72.33 points.
