Types of Players

The types of virtual players in a user’s squad determine the type of team and the possibility of it taking part in various Dream FTBL tournaments (details in “Conditions of Admission of Teams to Tournaments”). A player’s type is shown by a special pictogram in the “My Players аnd Teams” window and in the Game System Database.

Players of the following types may feature in the Database:

 

Type of Player	Description
Regular	A player who plays for one of the clubs in the 23 national championships included in the Game System. The rating of a Regular player is calculated on the results of the real tournaments. In the close season is rating is calculated as a virtual rating.
Outlander	A player who does not play for one of the clubs in the 23 championships, but is included in the Database for his performances with clubs in other leagues or with his national team. The player’s rating is calculated on the results of real tournaments and a virtual rating.
Fantasy	An invented player introduced to the Database by a user. A Fantasy player’s rating is calculated on the results of virtual tournaments.
Retro	A player who has finished his career. Retro players are introduced to the database by users. A Retro player’s rating is calculated on the results of virtual championships.

A player’s type can change: for example, if an Outlander player signs a contract with one of the clubs in the 23 national championships included in the Game System, he will become a Regular player. If a player retires, he becomes a Retro player.
