Absolute Team
Team in the Game System Database consisting of the 23 active players with the best ratings in their respective positions. The team includes the 3 best goalkeepers, the 6 best defenders, the 8 best midfielders and the 6 best strikers. The team’s rating is the sum of the ratings of the players in the team. The rating of the best team is the absolute rating.

Dream FTBL tournaments that teams of any type can enter.

BetEx
A bet on a player’s rating. Users can propose the terms of the bet for other users. The essence of the bet is that a particular player (or group of players) will, by a specified date, have a rating higher (or lower) than that fixed by the participants in the bet.

Blocked Player
Specific classification of a player in Dream FTBL games. A virtual player becomes blocked in the Game System an hour before the start of a match that is likely to feature his real prototype, and until the moment the report of that match is included in the Game System. The blocked player is then unblocked (with a change in his rating), and becomes active or disabled.

Captain Sector
Special sector on the Dream FTBL roulette wheel. If the ball lands in the “Captain” sector in FTBL Standard matches, an extra mini-time is played. The result of the extra mini-time is either a goal for the home team or a goal for the away team, since at this time all the sectors of the roulette wheel become active and are changed to black and red. In FTBL Roulette matches the “Captain” sector fulfils the same function as the remaining sectors of the roulette wheel.

Dream FTBL Games
There are two types of Dream FTBL game in the Game System, differing in the variety of tournaments available and the method of playing virtual matches: FTBL Standard and FTBL Roulette.

Dream FTBL Roulette Wheel

First XI
A team consisting of the following players: the best No.1 (No.22) of all the Nos.1 and 22, the best No.2 (No.12) of all the Nos.2 and 12, and so on down to the best No.11 (No.21) of all the best Nos.11 and 21. The First XI can therefore include both first-choice and reserve players. The team is formed according to positions – 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 4 midfielders and 3 strikers. Together with the Second XI, the First XI players form the All-star Team. Players who achieve this distinction receive award points.

FT
Abbreviation used in the Dream FTBL Game System for “football team”.
FTBL Standard
Virtual national championships including from 10 to 20 teams are played in FTBL Standard. There are three types of FTBL Standard tournament – Title, Progress and Mix, which differ in their aims and the types of stake – in Play Money, Real Money, or a combination of the two. Robot teams can take part in FTBL Standard tournaments to make up any shortfall in the number of users taking part in a tournament.

Game System Database
Located in the “My Teams” lobby and comprising all the players whose real prototypes play in the 23 real championships included in the Game System. Users purchase players in the Database (Regular players) for their teams and, if necessary, depending on the changes in their ratings, sell them back to the Database at a profit. The Game System offers users the possibility of introducing to the Database real or imaginary players that are not already included in it. These are Outlander, Fantasy and Retro players.

Main Roster
A virtual team’s squad of 23 players necessary for taking part in Dream FTBL games. The main roster must consist of: 3 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 8 midfielders and 6 strikers.

Match-rating
Rating that a user can set for his team in a match against a robot team in FTBL Standard Title and Progress tournaments. A change in the match-rating, up to 90 % higher or lower, is valid for the next match against a robot team. Unless otherwise indicated, the Game System installs the team’s current rating for the match.

Nickname
A name given by a user to a virtual team.

Penalty Sanctions
Applied to virtual players whose real prototypes receive: a red card in a match; two yellow cards in a match; a fourth yellow card. Virtual players whose real prototypes receive penalty sanctions become disabled.

Play Money
Play Money is one of the two currencies used in the Game System (the other is Real Money), used for buying and selling players, for paying the stakes and commissions in tournaments and receiving winnings, and also for placing on the Exchange. The basic unit of Play Money is 1 PM. In all transactions in Play Money the sums indicated are accurate down to 0.01 PM. Besides the amount of Play Money issued free of charge by the Game System on registration, a user can purchase Play Money with Real Money. Users can also sell their Play Money for Real Money on the Exchange.

Player OUTLANDER
A player who does not play for any of the clubs in the 23 real championships included in the Game System, but appears in the Database on account of his performances for clubs in other leagues or for his national team.

Player Popularity
Statistical parameter of a player in the Game System Database, reflecting the number of virtual teams that include the player.
Player’s Leading Fan Club
Status of a Player’s Fan Club, awarded to him by the Game System according to his popularity with users. The owner of a Player’s Leading Fan Club receives 5 % of the commission generated by the virtual teams in which that player is the star player.

PM
Abbreviation used in the Dream FTBL Game System for Play Money.
Points Bets
A version of FTBL Bets competitions. Users are offered a large amount of various bets that they can make between themselves on the number of points earned by players or teams in virtual tournaments in a specific period of time.

Rating Contest
A version of FTBL Bets competitions between users who have teams with identical ratings. The participants aim to increase their teams’ ratings by buying and selling players, and the winner is the team with the highest rating at the end of a fixed period.

Rating FTBL
The most important system-forming element of Dream FTBL. Above all, FTBL ratings determine the cost of virtual players and the possibility for users’ virtual teams of taking part in a particular Dream FTBL tournament. The numerical expression of a virtual player’s rating corresponds to his cost in Play Money, and is equal to the rating of his real prototype; the ratings of real players are supplied by the FTBL Ratings agency. The rating of a virtual team is equal to the sum of the ratings of the virtual players in its main roster.

Rating Leagues
A version of FTBL Bets competitions – tournaments played according to the results of Rating Contest in the form of FTBL Standard championships. Users’ teams enter for Rating Leagues tournaments with the ratings they achieved in the Rating Contest.

Real Based Name
The name of a virtual team in Dream FTBL games that coincides with the name of a real team registered in the Game System Database. To be classified as a Real Based team a virtual team must include not less than 11 players from its real prototype.
Real Money
To date, Real Money is understood as a special prize currency, payable to the winners of the free online fantasy games powered by FTBL.com. Real Money prize currency can be withdrawn from this site special account, but can not be deposited there. All Real Money depositing operations will become possible in the future after obtaining an appropriate license and closing the beta testing period.
Real Money deposiring operations will be available to persons over 18 years only.
RM
Abbreviation used in the Dream FTBL Game System for Real Money.
Robot Teams
Teams that take part in FTBL Standard tournaments, but are not controlled not by users, but are programmed by the Game System. Robot teams are formed automatically for tournaments to make up for any shortfall in users.

Schedule (Time)
One of the two categories of Dream FTBL tournaments, which differ in the way they start (the other is Sit & Go (Immediate)).
Schedule tournaments are those that start according to a schedule, at a previously determined time.
Second XI
A team formed in the same way as the First XI, but for the players who are second best for their respective numbers. The Second XI may therefore include both first-choice and reserve players. The team is formed according to positions: 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 4 midfielders and 3 strikers. Together with the First XI, the players in the Second XI form the All-star Team. Players who achieve this distinction receive award points.
Sit and Go (Immediate)
One of the two categories of Dream FTBL tournaments, which differ in the way they start (the other is Schedule (Time)).
Sit & Go tournaments are those that start as soon as the necessary number of participants has entered.
Star Player
Designation conferred by a user on one (and only one) player in his virtual team, registered in that player’s Fan Club; the team captain cannot be chosen as the star player. The points earned by a star player in Dream FTBL tournaments are doubled.

Team Captain (C)
Every virtual team in Dream FTBL games must have a captain. The captain is denoted in the team’s squad by the letter C. Unless a user decides otherwise, the Game System appoints the player with the highest rating as captain. Users can appoint team captains themselves. The captain cannot be the goalkeeper or the star player.

Team Design Studio
Lobby providing users with additional possibilities for using animation in Dream FTBL games. They can choose an emblem and strip for their teams, and even the character of their managers.
Team REAL BASED (RB)
A Real Based team is a virtual team whose total roster includes not less than 11 players from the same club, and whose captain also plays for that club.

Tournament Points
The points earned by a virtual player in each match for play leading to a goal, good defence play, and good play in general.

Tournaments CLASSIC
FTBL Roulette tournaments based on classic championships of years gone by. Users are provided with ready-made teams, formed in accordance with the real participants in these championships.

Virtual Weather
The virtual weather conditions in matches in FTBL Standard tournaments, like the weather in real football matches, have an effect on the play. The virtual weather conditions determine the total number of passive sectors on the roulette wheel, and accordingly influence the probability of a particular virtual event in the current match. A forecast of the possible virtual weather conditions for a forthcoming match can be viewed in the “Forecast” bookmark (“Game Field” Lobby).
