Emmanuel Adebayor

Emmanuel Adebayor, a physically gifted forward, would quite often miss school as a child, preferring to play football with other boys. He got repeated beatings for that from his father, who was forced to put up with Emmanuel's behavior after the latter was invited to join Togo 's national junior team. Adebayor nearly opted against going to Europe because of cold winters but changed his mind before it was too late.
