The last match in the Spanish championship was successful for Raul (pictured left) and David Villa – both strikers scored to improve their ratings, and their teams recorded important wins.
Raul opened the scoring in Real’s 2-0 victory against Valladolid. The striker, who had been unable to score for five matches, earned 23.70 points as a result, and currently has 162.96 to his credit.
David Villa, who scored the second goal from the penalty spot in Valencia’s 3-2 win against Sporting Gijon, earned slightly more: 23.90 points.
Villa’s rating is now 178.53 points and he has a good chance of breaking into the world’s Top 23 – in the next three matches his target is not too high. Villa scored for the second match in a row, and if he continues his goalscoring series, the world is his oyster.
Sevilla unexpectedly lost 1-0 at home to Getafe. Frederick Kanoute’s rating fell considerably – he lost 18.71 points after this match, and now has 191.45 points.
