FA Cup: Adebyor or Drogba?

Arsenal and Chelsea will slug it out in the FA Cup this coming Saturday. This could well be a rehearsal before an eventual Champions League final pitting the two English sides against each other. Interest in the Cup game will be fuelled furthermore by the rivalry between the two African star forwards of the English Premier League: Emmanuel Adebayor and Didier Drogba.

Edebayor and Drogba are in competition for the title of best player of the Premier League, and the Ivory Coast international’s chances seem overwhelming: all he needs to do is earn just one rating point in the game. He currently has 189.93 points. The Togolese international faces a more daunting task; he will have to earn more than 16.85 rating points.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s William Gallas continues to lead in the race for the title of best defender of the Premier League with 125.27 points. His competition is Chelsea’s John Terry (120.82 points), who as Drogba will need to earn just one rating point to move up. Arsenal right back Bakary Sagna (121.40 points) also has a chance of overtaking the leader, but he will have to break the 17.25-point threshold. To do that, Arsenal will need to avoid conceding even a single goal, while Sagna has to score…
