The scene is set for this weekend’s clash between Inter Milan and Juventus in the battle for the Scudetto in Italian Serie A, with the men from Turin hardly believing they can pull it off this time and beat the Nerazuri to the punch.
“It is obvious that it would take a miracle,” said forward Alessandro Del Piero. “That is why we will give the best of ourselves on the pitch. We want to at least give Inter a run for their money.”
Meanwhile, the battle for the rating has yet to settle: Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still in the lead with 185.45 points, with a good chance to solidify his hold on the top spot in the coming game: he will need to earn just over one rating point.
Del Piero, with a rating of 165.53 points, will have to back up his words with deeds: he needs to earn at least 18.79 points and better yet score the victorious goal.
“I hold no grudge against brahimovic, I just want to win against his team and try to score,” said Del Piero. “We have no intention of punishing Zlatan. We went into the Serie B, while he left for another team. It was his choice. In fact, I am not sure whether he is the one behind the Inter we see today. I think Massimo Morattti played a much bigger role here.”
