Russian former international Andrey Tikhonov is proving that he has had an illustrious career: he recently broke into the list of best world veteran forwards with 49.42 points, and, despite playing for obscure Lokomotiv Astana in the Kazakhstan league, he remains firmly on the list, as well as among the 23 best rated Russians players.
Tikhonov last earned rating points back on November 22, 2008, in the game between Krylya Sovetov and Terek Grozny (4:3). He opened the score in that game through a penalty and earned 13.28 rating points in the process.
Tikhonov is ahead of such known names as former France international Robert Pires in the rating of veteran midfielders, despite the fact that the Frenchman plays for Villarreal in La Liga. Pires currently has 48.23 points.
The rating of best veteran players is currently headed by Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs with 99.79 points.
