AC Milan veteran defender Giuseppe Favalli (pictured right) has re-discovered love for football with his performance landing him the second spot in our FTBL rating of veteran defenders (over 33 years old) and the rating of best veteran Italian defenders.

Favalli, who spent two years on the bench at Milan, is getting used to making the opening lineup at the Italian super club. The 37-year-old Italian has earned 69.40 rating points in his last 5 appearances, boosting his overall rating to 94.59 points.

Favalli is currently second in the rating of veteran defenders only to Inter Milan’s Argentine skipper Javier Zanetti, who has 110.41 points over all. Only Gianluca Zambrotta, with 119.84 points over all, rates better than Favalli at AC Milan.
