Bayern Munich’s forward Luca Toni (pictured) did not need a goal to overtake Udinese’s Fabio Quagliarella, the former leader in our FTBL rating of Italian players.
Despite being substituted after 87 minutes on the pitch in the match against Bayer Leverkusen, Toni still managed to pick up 16.83 rating points to boost his overall to 174.82 points.
Quagliarella, despite earning more rating points in his last five appearances than Toni (106.34 against 77.80), dropped on account of less rating points earned prior to his last five games. All rating points earned prior to a player’s last five games are multiplied by a coefficient of 0.1: this resulted in Toni earning 97.02 points against Quagliarella’s 59.52 points.
