A revolution has occurred in the FTBL Top 23 rating of world best football players: Cristiano Ronaldo, who reigned at the top for a month, has been overtaken by Atletico Madrid’s Uruguayan forward Diego Forlan (Pictured). Forlan now has 229.82 points to Ronaldo’s 227.16.
Ronaldo lost 25 rating points in the Red Devils’ draw at Old Trafford against Arsenal. Admittedly, the Portuguese had a high plank to beat, since he had to perform better against the Gunners than he did in United’s 5:2 win over Tottenham when he earned 30.20 rating points.
But Forlan will have a plank of 23 rating points to beat tonight in the La Liga game against Valencia to stay on top. He set the plank in the 3:0 win against CD Numencia in which he scored one of the goals.
