Lokomotiv Moscow’s Nigerian forward Peter Odemwingie (pictured left) will have a plank of just a little more than 1 rating point to beat in the next game, an excellent chance to grab the lead in the FTBL rating of best Nigerian forwards: he currently has 69 points over all.
A goal will go a long way towards helping Odemwingie overtake current leader Everton’s Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who has 81.83 points over all. Aiyegbeni has been sidelined since November due to injury.
But Odemwingie remains rather far behind leader of the FTBL rating of best Nigerian players Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel, who has 122.32 points over all. Marseille’s Taye Taiwo leads among defenders with 88.75 points over all.
