Juventus’ skipper Alessandro Del Piero returned in the FTBL Top 23 for the Serie A after helping his side to a 3:0 trashing of Siena with a double: he boosted his rating to 138.65 points over all after picking up a whopping 32 rating points.
The win helped newly appointed manager Ciro Ferrara’s boys level on points with AC Milan in 2nd place in the standings, taking the long-running fight for berths in European football for next season down to the wire.
AC Milan suffered a humiliating 2:3 defeat at home to AS Roma. Striker Filippo ‘Pippo’ Inzaghi was unable to pull one his tricks this time round and lost approximately 30 rating points. Inzaghi, who just a few weeks ago topped the rating of forwards in the Serie A, has now exited the group altogether.
