Juventus’ Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved has grabbed the top spot in the FTBL rating of veteran midfielders (players over 35) from Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs.
Nedved has picked up 48.20 rating points in his last 5 appearances. He earned 17 rating points in Juventus’ 3:0 win over Siena in Serie A action to grab the lead in the rating with 95.28 points over all to Giggs’ 91.93.
It is worth noticing that despite his age Nedved still dominates the FTBL rating of Czech midfielders: his nearest rival, Arsenal’s Tomáš Rosický, trails by 27 rating points.
Giggs will have a plank of more than 23 rating points to beat in tonight’s Champions League final against Barcelona: he set the plank in Manchester United’s 2:0 win over Middlesbrough in Premier League action. Meanwhile, the best rated veteran player at the moment is Man United goalkeepers Edwin van der Sar, with 143.22 points over all.
