Manchester United’s defenders incurred massive rating losses as a result of their defeat at the hands of Barcelona in the Champions League final, with some of them even exiting the FTBL Top 23 for defensive players.
Center-back Rio Ferdinand lost 16.62 rating points and his 3rd place in the rating, while teammate Patrice Evra (pictured in white) lost 9.68 rating points and his 6th spot in the rating of best world defenders. Ferdinand is now in 9th place, followed by Evra.
Serbia international Nemanja Vidic, who until last night topped the rating of defenders, has lost his top spot to Liverpool’s Jamie Carragher after losing 16.12 rating points in the final. He is now in 3rd place.
