Manchester United’s star forward Wayne Rooney (pictured) has lost his spot in the FTBL Top 23 for the English Premier League to Arsenal’s Russian forward Andrei Arshavin after failing to score in the Champions League final against Barcelona (0:2).
Rooney lost 12.10 rating points in the final and, with 157.88 points over all, slipped from 4th to 5th place. Arshavin, who has 161.34 points over all, has now moved to 4th place.
Rooney and Arshavin still lead convincingly in the FTBL rating of players form their respective countries: Rooney’s nearest rival, Aston Villa’s Gabriel Agbonlahor, has just 109.60 points over all, while Arshavin’s closest rival, Tottenham Hotspur’s Roman Pavlyuchenko, has 79.99 points over all.
