Barcelona skipper Carles Puyol earned 16.30 rating points after leading the Catalans to a 2:0 victory against Manchester United in the Champions League final last night. Puyol is now back in the FTBL World Top 23 and has claimed back the top spot in the rating of Spanish defenders.
Puyol exited the club of best world players a month ago. He had a low plank of just 4 rating points to beat in the final against United, which he did to return in the elite.
The Barcelona skipper lost the lead in the rating of Spanish defenders approximately 10 days ago to Villarreal’s Capdevila and claimed it back after the final. Puyol could extend his lead in the coming game, in which he will have another low plank of just 1 rating point to beat.
