Real Madrid—and its skipper Raul—will have a chance to rehabilitate themselves in the eyes of their fans when they travel to Asasuna on Sunday in the last game of the current season.
Raul, who currently has 145 points, rounds off the FTBL Top 23 for La Liga, and he will need to pick up approximately 40 rating points to void exiting the group. But the Spain international has done it before, in the game against Sevilla, in which he had a hat-trick.
Unreal as it might sound, defender Pepe (104.05 points) is the only other Real Madrid player in the FTBL Top 23 for La Liga besides Raul. The Portugal international will have a plank of 11.25 rating points to beat on Sunday, and a solid performance could allow him to dispute the top spot in the rating of Portuguese defenders with Chelsea’s Bosingwa, who currently has 108.63 points.
