David Villa’s double in Valencia’s 2:0 home win over Athletic Bilbao boosted the striker’s overall rating to 161.17 points, allowing him to return into the FTBL Top 23 rating of top forwards in La Liga while pushing out Real Madrid’s Raul.

Villa earned a whopping 30 rating points in the game, but the effort failed short of winning Valencia a berth in next season’s Champions League as they finished only 6th in the standings: the club will take consolation in a spot in the newly created Europa League.

Villarreal’s Llorente also boosted his overall rating to 164.37 points with a double in the 3:2 victory over RCD Mallorca. The win allowed Villarreal to end the season in 5th place in the standings.
