Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has come out on top in his duel with Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas for the title of best goalkeeper of La Liga with 117.99 points against the Madrilene’s 58.29 points.
Yet some two weeks ago, Casillas still topped the rating of La Liga goalkeepers; he first lost the leadership to Valdes soon after, before dropping like a stone and exiting the FTBL Top 23 for La Liga with a rating of less than 60 points! Unbelievable as it might sound, Casillas conceded 21 goals in his last 7 appearances, an average of 3 goals per game!
Meanwhile, Valdes has been pretty constant at Barcelona and has held on to his top spot. Atletico Madrid’s Leo Franco has 92.51 points over all, while Sevilla’s Palop has 88.18 points.
