Barcelona’s Brazilian star Dani Alves (pictured) re-claimed the top spot in the FTBL Top 23 of Brazilian defenders after a convincing performance in Montevideo in which Brazil trashed Uruguay 4:0 in a World Cup 2010 qualifier.
Alves, after grabbing the opener early in the game thanks to a blunder by Uruguay goalkeeper Sebastian Viera, picked up 15.20 rating points to boost his overall rating to 114.66 points, past former leader, Bayern Munich’s Lucio (109.06 points).
AS Roma’s Juan, with a tally of 77.62 points, and Internacional’s Kleber, with 70.11 points over all, are all just a few points from the lower threshold of the Top 23, which is occupied by Marseille’s Hilton with 81.13 points over all.
