Ukrainian Players: Schevchenko Shut out of Elite

AC Milan’s erstwhile feared forward Andriy Shevchenko missed a perfect opportunity to return in the elite group of Ukrainian players after he was forced out of the pitch 23 minutes into the game due to injury in the World Cup 2010 qualifier against Croatia (2:2); Shevchenko had brought Ukraine back to 1:1 on score approximately 10 minutes earlier.

The unfortunate turn of events left the Ukraine international with a paltry earning of just 5 rating points, which barely pushed his tally up, to 44.74 points.

Shakhtar Donetsk
’s Oleksiy Gay, who put Ukraine ahead at the 54th minute, picked up more than 15 rating points, boosting his overall number to 52.77 points, ahead of Bayern Munchen’s Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, who has 47.15 points over all.
