Atletico Madrid's star forward Diego Forlan (pictured), the highest FTBL-rated football player in the world at the moment, was humbled on June 6 when Brazil inflicted a crushing 4:0 defeat to Uruguay in a World Cup 2010 qualifier with the Uruguayan unable to score a single goal.
Until then, Forlan had been racking in no less than 25 rating points per game, becoming the only other player besides Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo to ever clear the 300-point bar in our system.
Based on our compilation, Forlan lost 31.13 rating points in the game against Brazil to see his overall rating drop to 299.40 points.
Despite still topping the rating of the world’s best forwards, Forlan now faces the threat of losing more points in the coming games: to avoid a loss, he will need to pick up between 45 and 50 rating points per game, which means scoring 2 to 3 goals per game.
