The three highest rated goalkeepers in the world, all playing for English Premier League clubs, now have a new rival in Inter Milan’s Brazilian Júlio César (pictured).
The FTBL Top 23 of the world’s best goalkeepers is currently topped by Liverpool’s José Reina (136.49 points), followed by Manchester United’s Edwin van der Sar (124.03 points), while Chelsea’s Petr Cech rounds off the list with 121.30 points.
Following Brazil’s 4:0 win over Uruguay in World Cup 2010 qualifying on June 6, Julio Cesar, with an overall rating of 118.12 points, has now moved just 3 points below Czech Cech. Cesar also comfortably leads in the FTBL ratings of South American, Brazilian and Italian Serie A goalkeepers.
