Zenith St. Petersburg midfielder and Russia international Konstantin Zyryanov (pictured right), who scored one of Russia’s 3 goals in a World Cup 2010 qualifier against Finland yesterday (3:0), earned 27 rating points to claim the top spot in the rating of midfielders of the Russian league. Zyryanov is also currently the highest rated player in the Russian Premier League with 104.93 points over all, while FC Moskva’s Martin Jakubko, the best forward in the league, has 96.17 points.
Dynamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kerzhakov, who scored the remaining two goals, appears to be closing in on Jakubko with an overall rating of 94.60 points.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin, who ended the game without a goal, lost 27 rating points to see his tally slump to 134 points: he has now exited the Top 23 of the English Premier League.
