Villarreal defender and Spain international Juan Capdevila (pictured) will break into the FTBL World Top 23 of defenders bar a loss against New Zealand tonight in the Confederations Cup in South Africa.
With an overall rating of 110.14 points at the moment, Capdevila’s task will be to produce a performance better than the one he had against Sevilla, when the Yellow Submarines lost 0:2 and Capdevila lost just 1 rating points. A good performance is likely to yield a spot in the Top 23 for Capdevila, with Brazilian Dani Alves slipping out and Carles Puyol likely to surge ahead: the Barcelona center-back has a similar plank of just over 1 rating point to beat in the game.
The game will be of even more crucial importance for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas: with a rating of just over 55 points at the moment, he could use the competition to produce a badly needed boost of his tally.
