The Confed Cup seems an opportunity as good as any for Real Madrid goalkeeper and Spain international Iker Casillas to give his lately sagging rating fortunes a good boost: Casillas picked up 25 rating points after Spain’s drubbing of miserable New Zealand in their opening match to boost his overall rating to 80.48 points.
Casillas will doubtless use Spain’s next game against modest Iraq to further scrub his rating and return lost positions among La Liga goalkeepers.
In his next four games, Casillas will have negative balances, meaning his fate rating-wise will be fully in his own hands.
