Real Madrid’s Spain international Iker Casillas is using the Confed Cup in South Africa as an opportunity to patch up his personal rating: he picked up 20 rating points after Spain painfully beat Iraq 1:0 in their second outing in the competition. With an overall rating of 98.97 points at the moment, Casillas is second in the FTBL Top 23 of La Liga and 3rd in the chart of Spanish players.
In the game against South Africa Casillas will have, for the first time, a realistic chance of re-claiming the top spot in our rating of La Liga goalkeepers since exiting the group a month ago. Another win for Spain (with Casillas conceding no goals) will yield the Madrilène the top spot, now in the hands of Barcelona’s Victor Valdes, who has 115.43 points over all.
