Kaka Chasing after Ronaldo in Rating

Real Madrid’s two recent superstar signs Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka will soon be slugging it out in the battle for rating points, and despite Ronaldo’s higher price tag, it is likely that Kaka, instead, will take the lead in that battle, at least until the next season.

With Ronaldo not scheduled to play an official game until August, Kaka has the Confederations Cup in South Africa to spruce up his rating: he has already picked up approximately 60 rating points in Brazil’s first two games in the competition, reducing the gap with Ronaldo to just 20 rating points from its high of not long ago, which at times was a three-digit figure.

Kaka currently has 164 points against Ronaldo’s 183 points. The Brazilian will have a plank of 23.70 rating points to beat when his country meet Italy, and to overtake the Portuguese, he will need to score twice, with a win for Brazil.

Kaka will then have a plank of 24.39 rating points to beat in the game following the Confed Cup game against Italy, and two victories in a row will guarantee the Brazilian moving ahead of Ronaldo.
