Inter Milan’s Brazil international Júlio César (pictured), who just recently returned in the FTBL Top 23 of the world’s best goalkeepers, is now breathing down the neck of the rating leader, Liverpool’s Spain international José Reina.
Cesar produced a confident performance in Brazil’s sound 3:0 win over World Cup holders Italy in the Confed Cup in South Africa yesterday. He picked up 10.95 rating points and, with a tally of 136.43 points, trails Reina (141.17 points) by just about 4.75 rating points.
The two will have a similar plank of 13 rating points to beat in their next games.
