Arsenal and Spain playmaker Cesc Fabregas (pictured left) will have a perfect opportunity to consolidate his hold on the 2nd place in the rating of Spanish midfielders in the semi-final against the U.S. in the Confed Cup and break clear of rivals Xabi Alonso of Liverpool and Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.
.
To earn a bonus, Fabregas will have to perform better than he did against Chelsea in the English Premier League when he lost 6.50 rating points. A goal will correspondingly increase the size of the bonus.
With Iniesta sidelined by injury and Xabi (138 points) facing a daunting plank of approximately 20 rating points, Fabregas, who currently has 125.91 points over all, appears the clear winner.
