Inter Milan’s young international Mario Balotelli will have to win back the hearts of disgruntled fans when Italy meet Germany in the semi-final of the European U-21 Championship soon, after his expulsion in the game against hosts Sweden almost coast the Azzurri a spot among the last four; he will have a plank of 19.04 rating points to beat in the game.
The talented, if short-tempered, forward set the plank in Inter’s 3:0 win over Siena in Serie A action, but the Serie A is ranked higher than the European U-21 Championship. This means that Balotelli will have to try harder.
With a tally of 76 points at the moment, Balotelli stands the chance of joining the U-21 Top 23 if he produces a strong performance.
