World Top 23: Brazil's Julio Cesar is the World's Best Goalkeeper

Brazil and Inter Milan number one goalkeeper Júlio César (pictured) captured the top spot in the FTBL Top 23 of the world’s best goalkeepers after his country overcame a spirited Bafana Bafana in the Confederations Cup semi-final (1:0) yesterday in South Africa.

By now César has played four games with Brazil in the competition and picked up 74.10 rating points to claim the top spot.

With a tally of 142.09 points, César has overtaken Liverpool’s José Reina, who is now in second place with 140.08 points over all. César’s current rating is his highest ever since the FTBL began tracking the goalkeeper.
