Brazil skipper Lucio (pictured) had something to be cheerful about yesterday as he helped his country successfully defend its Confederations Cup title with a winning goal in the 83rd minute after a less-than-convincing season with Bayern Munich. Lucio has now moved within a few points of the leader in the FTBL world ranking of midfielders, Chelsea’s John Terry.
Lucio picked up 16.20 rating points to boost his tally to 140.27 points, just a sliver from Terry, who has 141.75 points at the moment.
Lucio, otherwise, leads in our rankings of Latin American, Brazilian, and Bundesliga defenders.
