Former Olympique Lyon forward and France international Karim Benzema is joining Real Madrid with the best rating of any striker now in the employ of the Madrilènes; he has 157 points at the moment.
The reported 35 million euro paid by Real for Benzema seem in line with the high rating of the forward, given that he played 70 matches with Lyon last season as a leader and his star factor stands at 11.3%. Benzema routinely picked up an average of 12.4 rating points in each match last season.
Only Kaka and Crisitiano Ronaldo with 167 and 177 points, respectively, have higher ratings, but the two are nominal midfielders, unlike Benzema.
