If Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo’s reported move to Arsenal goes through, the Brazilian playmaker will break the record for the fee currently held by Russian international Andrey Arshavin, whose transfer reportedly cost 15 million euro. The Gunners are said to be ready to shell out up to 20 million for Melo, who would then become the highest FTBL-rated player in the team with 152.20 points over all.
The highest rated player at Arsenal at the moment is Arshavin (134.09 points), followed by Spain international Cesc Fàbregas (126.89 points).
Melo substantially propped up his rating at the end of the season, especially with Brazil in the Confed Cup in South Africa where he picked up 90 rating points. He is second only to Real Madrid's Kaká in the FTBL ranking of Brazilian players.
