The world’s best defender at the moment, Chelsea’s John Terry (141.75 points), is reportedly being aggressively pursued by Manchester City, who are offering to increase the England international’s salary to a weekly 200,000 pounds aside from the 40 million they are reported to be ready to pay to acquire him. But so far, Chelsea have held firm in their refusal to sell.
If Terry ultimately joins City, he will be by far the best defender in team: his potential nearest rival, Richard Dunne, has a rating of just 68.45 points.
Remaining at Stamford Bridge will mean that Terry will continue to compete hard with the likes of Ashley Cole (138.03 points) for the leadership among defenders.
