Olympique Marseille forward and Senegal international Mamadou Niang (pictured) has replaced departing Karim Benzema (for Real Madrid) at the top of the FTBL ranking of forwards in the French Ligue 1 with 156.13 points.

Niang, who had a wonderful end of season, boosted his overall rating form 96 points to 160 in just 3 months. He routinely picked up 12 rating points per game, and had an impressive +/- indicator.

Niang ranks 20th in the FTBL world ranking of forwards, while he is 3rd among African forwards behind Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o of Barcelona (179.6 points) and Chelsea’s Cote d’Ivoire international Didier Drogba (162.09 points).
