Alvaro Arbeloa, who has left Liverpool to return to Real Madrid on a 6-million-euro deal, is now the highest rated defender at the Bernabeu with an overall FTBL rating of 108.86 points.

Arbeloa was only 2nd at Anfield Road behind Jamie Carragher (126.88 points). He is 3rd in the FTBL ranking of Spanish defenders behind Barcelona’s Carles Puyol (128.26 points) and Villarreal’s Capdevila (121.47 points).

No other Real Madrid defender has a rating beyond the 100-mark: Portuguese international Pepe has 97.14 points, while Sergio Ramos has 93.02 points.
