Former Italy international Christian Panucci (pictured) has officially signed for Serie A side Parma. Based on his current FTBL rating, the former AS Roma star defender will have practically no theoretical rival for the first team at his new club.
With a tally of 68.95 points, Panucci was among the rating leaders at AS Roma. In his new club, he will be the player with the highest FTBL rating, irrespective of position: his nearest rivals among defenders are Giulio Falcone, who has an abysmally low tally of just 12.17 points, and Senegalese Ferdinand Coly, who has an even lower rating of 10.37 points.
Panucci is among the world’s 100 best defenders on our chart in 95th position. He is just 2 rating points shy of the FTBL Top 23 of Italian defenders and has hit the 125 point-bar at the height of form, all which seems to indicate Parma have made a good deal.
