Real Madird striker Alvaro Negredo (pictured), who spent last season at Almería on loan, could find himself at AS Roma or Sevilla next season. As it is, the forward should have no particular problem securing a place in the first team in either of the two teams.
With an overall FTBL rating of 97.24 points by last season’s end, Negredo was without question the best forward at modest Almería: at some point in the season he even hit the 172-point mark, a truly outstanding result for any forward.
But with the arrival of such world stars as Cristiano Ronaldo (165.55 points) and Karim Benzema (151.47 points) at the Bernabeu, and with veteran Raul (97.33 points) still willing to play, a return to his original team will have made little sense for Negredo.
At Roma, Negredo would have just two real rivals in star midfielder/forward Francesco Totti (139.95 points) and Montenegrin Mirko Vucinic (131.64 points). With a little luck, he should be able to clock enough playtime.
The situation is more or less the same at Sevilla: Negredo will have to compete for first-team action with Brazil international Luis Fabiano (200.57 points) and Malian Frederic Kaoute (129.36 points), two strikers known for their prolific ways.
