Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda (pictured), the skipper of VVV-Venlo, a side newly promoted to the Dutch top league, and the best player in the Dutch First Division last season, has generated interest from English Premier League powerhouse Liverpool, British television channel Sky Sports reports.
If the Reds take their chance, Keisuke will be the first ever Japanese at Anfield Road and the only one in the English Premier League at the moment.
With an overall FTBL rating of just 23.39 points, Keisuke will be the worst ranked midfielder at Liverpool, but the Japanese boasts a solid individual contribution to the rating of 63.3% and a star index of 10.7%. His numbers in those two categories easily surpass those of well established Liverpool names, including skipper Steven Gerrard.
