Dynamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kerzhakov (pictured left) has dropped 45 rating points in the past 3 weeks alone: in the 0:1 loss against Terek Grozny in the Russian league, the striker lost 17.56 rating points to see his overall FTBL rating shrink to half that of his direct rival in the national ranking, Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin (134.09 points).
The huge drop in the rating was due to the fact that Kerzhakov had a plank of 20 rating points to beat in the game against Terek. He set the plank when he scored the winner in the dying minutes in Dynamo’s 2:1 win over Spartak Nalchik in the previous game. Kerzhakov now has an overall FTBL rating of 70.88 points.
Pavel Pogrebnyak, another Russian international now playing for Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga after a failed stint in the English Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur, is experiencing a slump in form as well. Stuttgart’s 0:2 defeat to title-holders Wolfsburg shaved 7.64 rating points off Pagrebnyak’s tally. He now has just 72.13 points.
In the meantime, Lokomotiv Moscow forward Dmitri Sychev picked up 13.75 rating points with a goal in his side’s 3:1 win over Krylya Sovetov to overtake Kerzhakov with 71.16 points over all.
