AS Roma’s Norway international John Arne Riise (pictured left) captured the 3rd spot in the FTBL ranking of Serie A defenders after he helped his country crush Scotland 4:0 yesterday in a World Cup 2010 qualifier with the opening goal from a free-kick 35 minutes into the game.

Riise earned 19.05 rating points for his efforts, taking his tally to 89.91 points. He is now in 31st position in the FTBL world ranking of defenders and 1st in our ranking of Norway defenders.
