Chelsea defender and England international Ashley Cole will face a daunting plank (for a defender) of 19 rating points to beat tonight as the Blues take on Sunderland in the second round of the new Premier League season.
Cole, who is among the top three best defenders in the world in the FTBL ranking at the moment with a tally of 131.41 points, will need to score to avoid a dramatic drop in the ranking. His high plank was set precisely against Sunderland last season, when he scored the winner in the dying minutes of the game in what was a 3:1 victory for the Blues.
A win for Chelsea without conceding a goal will help Cole cushion his drop in the ranking, while the opposite could have dire rating consequences.
